If you are looking to cultivate peace, improve thinking and increase your creativity
then forgiveness is the key.
Holding grudges and anger is the biggest factor in suppressing alpha waves, so you may ask why alpha waves are so important.  Alpha waves are responsible for allowing us to access higher states of creativity, a more relaxed state of mind and better problem solving abilities.
This is why it is so important to release every last bit of it in our systems. When we hold unforgiveness in our hearts, we only punish ourselves. You may be very justified in feeling the irritation or the anger but at what price. The energy put into this could far be better used.
Forgiveness does not mean that it’s okay what the other person did, it simply means you are no longer willing to carry around the pain and entertain the energy.
Imagine releasing all those feelings of hurt and anger. so that the event or person that hurt you, no longer triggers negative feelings within you and you return to a beautiful place of peace.
